Where is Singapore on the map?

You will be awfully surprised that many people outside of South East Asia zone do not have the slightest idea where Singapore is. Some even mistook us for being next to China! More often than not, I have to tell them that that is Hong Kong. Yes, it's an island but it is not Singapore. So let's get our geography right. Those people really do need to visit Singapore.

Singapore is located on latitude 1, 14°N, longitude 103, 55°East on the globe or 1° north of the equator, on the map just below the Malayan peninsular. Still need help? Google map will help you find Singapore with a click of a mouse.

Singapore my home

OrchidsI am very proud to call Singapore my home. We are extremely rich in culture. You will find people from all corners of the world each bringing their own style and culture blending into ours. Tolerance and acceptance is the way we live. You will not find any racial problems here. Instead we learn from each other and together we grow strong, stable and enrich each other's lives. Safety is a another great factor, my children are growing up in a healthy safe society allowing them to concentrate on being children and not fear of wars or mortality like their peers in other places with unstable government. Apart from a little monsoon that hits us during the raining seasons during the months of June to September then again between December to early March. What's a little rain water now and then?

I am not a tour guide nor a travel agent but just a native of Singapore who appreciate all that I have here. For me, one of my most memorable impressions of Singapore was our Singapore Airlines TV commercials showcasing our Singapore girls. That is true, Singaporeans are exceptionally hospitable.
